What is Leadership Los Alamos?
Leadership Los Alamos began in 2003 and strives to expose participants to the many services, resources, organizations, and businesses that make Los Alamos unique to broaden participants’ understanding of our community and enhance their leadership skills. Each month the group will attend presentations, tour facilities and interact with representatives from local businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public offices.
Who should apply?
Anyone who is 21 or older, lives or works in Los Alamos County, is committed to servant leadership in the community, is interested in expanding their network and leadership skills, and wants to gain deeper insight into and access all that Los Alamos has to offer.
What is the time commitment?
Leadership Los Alamos runs one full Friday per month from September through May.
A mandatory orientation, five out of the seven program days, and attendance at the graduation session are required to graduate from the program.
What is the cost?
The tuition is $800 and covers lunch, snacks, transportation, lodging, class shirts/nametags, and miscellaneous program-related expenses. The tuition is payable in full on or before September 11, 2024.
The applicant, their employer, or a combination of both may pay the fee.
Is there a scholarship?
Yes! A limited number of scholarships are available to help cover a portion of the program tuition. To learn more about this process or request an application, email applications@leadershiplosalamos.org.
